New Velox 120 - Glow

Here is one of my new toys the Velox 120.
WingSpan - 68" ,
Weight     - 4050gms,
Engine     - 1.3 SK
Prop        - 16x6 JXF

Carried the plane all the way from Shanghai and it was big thing to haul over thru the customs, which of course stopped me to smell it out . Got thru w/o any issues though. (Tell them its a wooden toy and be ready to open it if they ask ... they loose interest immediately  )

The plane is well built and covered with Chinakote. I got it from the Shanghai Model Exhibition at a mouth watering price.

BTW have some more babes in their cases still wrapped up and let me tell you they are world class ARFs waiting to peep out.

N you got is for 90$. What a steal mann . Wish is was with you..

I wonder how these chinese guys make the Arf's so quickly , efficiently and cheaply.. Hats Off!

And Sunil How the SK engine you Got..? Is is good for its price..

You could have even tried a small chinese gasser like a 26cc CRRC Pro On it.. I wounder How cheap it would be there at the exhibition!

The model is definitely good though the covering could be oracover which actually adds a premium to the price. If you add the price of the shanghai fare its not really that cheap

The SK engine is doing quite well for its price. It idles well and is giving me 8500 rpm on a 16x6 prop and its about 900 gms whereas the petrol engine is about 1300~1400 gms. So for 3D kinda high power to weight ratio I would go with glow for this size.

Also petrol engines were also available for a good price. But I had other stuff to  bring and am not so excited about petrol hence the skip.

Nice looking bird there Sunil.
Never mind the covering. After some extensive flying you could always rip off the entire cover and recover with material of your choice.
