Modeller's Hobby Club (MHC) is organizing its first MHC R/c international fly-in - Aerofest 2005 - at Kolkata on the 19th and 20th of February, 2005 to be held at the Behala Aerodrome. The annual show will host many events including 3D Flying, Para Dropping, Pattern Flying, Formation, Pylon Racing, Kiss the Ground, Balloon Bursting, Need for Speed, Helicopter aerobatics and many others, including a performance by the ?Dare Devil Team?.

The detailed schedule of events is being finalized and will be posted here in due course. The event will be spread over two days with the preliminary rounds to be held on Feb 19th and the finals on Sunday, Feb 20th, following which is a closing ceremony and dinner (for competitors only.)

The event is being sponsored by several companies, and there will be prize money for winning participants.

Visitors entry is free. There will be plenty of food stalls and and a raffle, with a radio control airplane, among others, as a prize!

If you are an aeromodeller and would like to compete in the events, please email MHC at mhc2005@indiatimes.com. We will mail you the entry forms, regulations and event sheets, as soon as they are finalized. We welcome participation from all over India (and the rest of the world!)

Please contact us at mhc2005@indiatimes.com.

Thank you for your time.

Gentlemen,

Due to certain circumstances we are unable to host the Aerofest 2005 event in February as planned. This is rather unfortunate as we were looking forward to having a truly unique event.

As of now we are unsure as to when we will be able to host it, but we will intimate you at least one month in advance.

Thank you so much for your enthusiasm and we apologize once again for this delay.

With best regards,

The MHC Aerofest Organizing Committee

Any plans of hosting the event in 2006 Mr Khaitan ?? If yes do post it on. Moreover is the event going to be just a RC show or all forms of aeromodelling are welcome??
Or is the event dead for ever??
