Hi
I could not help overlook the comments you made about the spitfire like "The plane is quite scale and looks very neat in the air" and "it looks fast in the air". My question is that do they just "look" or they actually perform?

I think instead of the speed 400 you would require a brushless setup please prove me wrong (as it would be a learning experience). To be honest with you i bought a plane though chinese but the dimensions are just the same from ebay (two peices) for a bout 4000 including all hardware though it had only speed control and elevator it was value for its worth.
the body was made of foam and too be honest i dont trust foam anymore cause i was trying spirals and the wing just broke into two in mid flight and that was just after i recovered and levelled my flight and you can imagine the next thing was the plane crashed into the ground close to my feet.
That was one reason i chose gas. though i have repaired the model and its airworthy i still doubt the performance. another aspect people dont take into consideration is that a electric airplane to match the performance of a glow is
1) more expensive
2) You have to have a weather machine to control the wind
I wanted to go into electrics and still do because i will be ordering myself a flight pack and a plane from tower hobbies like my other planes but really dont see the practicallity.
I would actually like somebody to point out the benefits of electrics other than being cleaner, no mess, no noise,
smaller flying area needed. but one thing i know for sure and that is even a formula one driver loves the sound of his car more than the speed and definitly wants to be part of his car by getting his hands dirty by looking under the bonet.
my 2 pennies worth i am not trying to critisise or prove anything just having a healthy discussion
